Job summary

ABB Bengaluru is seeking a Senior HR Enterprise Architect to define and govern the HR domain architecture across the enterprise. You will ensure a coherent, secure, and scalable HR technology landscape, enabling consistent employee experiences while supporting decentralized business needs.

You will lead the Workday landscape, review and optimize deployments, and maintain architecture documentation in EA tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in architecture or senior HR technology roles.
• Strong experience in HR systems and platforms (e.g. Workday).
• Experience with HR integrations (identity, payroll, finance).
• Understanding of Privacy and regulatory considerations for HR data.
• Experience in and understanding HR processes and operating models.
• Proven experience in large, decentralized or federated enterprises.
• Experience in functional capability modeling, SaaS and packaged application landscapes and cross-domain dependency management.
• Strong executive communication and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, govern, and evolve the HR domain architecture across the enterprise.
• Ensure HR technology landscape is coherent, secure, and scalable.
• Translate enterprise guardrails into domain-level guidance for HR platforms and solutions.
• Lead end-to-end architecture for Workday landscape and ensure coherence with strategy.
• Review Workday footprint to identify overlap, gaps, and opportunities for consolidation or better utilization of native features.
• Stay up to date with Workday releases and advise on complementing landscape with new features.
• Maintain up-to-date architecture documentation in EA tools (e.g., Ardoq).
• Ability to operate within the Enterprise Architecture function and report to Senior Domain Architect for Functional Domains.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to define, govern, and evolve the architecture of the Human Resources (HR) domain across the enterprise. You will ensure the HR technology landscape is coherent, secure, and scalable, enabling consistent employee experience while supporting decentralized business needs. This role operates within the Enterprise Architecture function, translating enterprise guardrails into practical domain-level guidance for HR platforms and solutions. This role reports to the Senior Domain Architect for Functional Domains.

• HR Domain Architecture & Target State, including HR capability mapping
• HR Architecture Principles and Guardrails
• HR Integration & Data Architecture and Data Distribution Patterns
• Solution Architecture Reviews and Assessments
• HR Domain Roadmap aligned to enterprise strategy and HR Technology Roadmap
• Up to date architecture documentation in EA tools (e.g. Ardoq)
• Serving as the end-to-end architect for the Workday landscape, ensuring the total solution is coherent, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with strategy
• Continuously reviewing the collective Workday footprint to identify overlap, gaps, and opportunities for consolidation or better utilization of native Workday capabilities before custom solutions are introduced
• Understanding the modules and capabilities of the Workday solution and staying up to date with releases and new features to advise how they could complement our landscape
