Job summary

Dr Lal PathLabs is seeking a Cytogenomics fellowship trainee to learn and perform cytogenetics and clinical genomics reporting in a high-volume lab. You will validate techniques, maintain QC, and ensure timely test reporting while participating in ongoing training and QA programs.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to SOPs, safety manuals, and proficiency testing, with exposure to IQC/EQC processes and Cytogenetics/FISH assays in constitutional and hematological contexts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SOPs, relevant documents, safety manual and instruments in the department.
• Experience in validating and implementing techniques in the department.
• Ability to document departmental Quality control procedures (IQC/EQC).
• Demonstrated capability in Cytogenetics and FISH assay reporting and validation.

Responsibilities

• Learn and have complete knowledge of SOPs/documents/safety manual/instruments in your department.
• Learn, validate and implement techniques in the department.
• Learn, implement and document departmental QC procedures (IQC/EQC).
• Be responsible for all reported Cytogenetics metaphase analysis for constitutional disorders and hematological malignancies.
• Be responsible for clinical Cytogenomics test reporting and validation of reports, including Cytogenetics and FISH assays.
• Maintain strict control over turnaround time (TAT) for all tests reported.
• Resolve queries pertaining to tests in your department.
• Participate in training sessions organized by the organization from time to time.
• Strictly monitor QC and external Assurance/Proficiency systems.

• Be responsible for all reported Conventional Cytogenetics Metaphase analysis for constitutional disorder and Hematological malignancies.
• Be responsible for all Clinical Cytogenomics test reporting and validation of test reports, including Cytogenetics and FISH assays.
• Maintain a strict control over the turnaround Time (TAT) for all the tests reported.
• To resolve queries pertaining to tests in your department.
• To participate in training sessions organized by the organization from time to time.
• To strictly monitor Quality control and external Assurance / Proficiency systems.

Fellowship in Cytogenomics is mandatory.
