Job summary

Pantaloons in Muzaffarpur is seeking an Executive/Senior Executive in the Department Operations to lead the store's department team and drive sales and service excellence.

You will ensure adherence to policies, manage visual merchandising, stock integrity, and training of Fashion Assistants to meet KPIs and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate with retail exposure.
  • Experience in store operations preferred.
  • Strong people management and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve department’s sales targets daily/weekly/monthly (conversion rate, basket size, hit rate & membership enrollment).
  • Review sales reports and take corrective action to meet revenue gaps.
  • Implement visual guidelines as per the Store Display Manual.
  • Conduct daily floor walks to ensure departmental hygiene and presentation.
  • Ensure new season launches, promotional displays, and clearance sales.
  • Drive product training to enhance selling skills of floor staff.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints promptly.
  • Monitor and improve customer experience by guiding staff on service standards.
  • Collect customer feedback and share insights with Store Manager for improvements.
  • Conduct daily stock audits for the department.
  • Investigate variances and ensure corrective action for shrinkage.
  • Authorize and track outward stock movements (transfers, RTVs, inter-store movements).
  • Ensure team follows SOPs in handling merchandise to minimize loss.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs across sales, stock handling, and customer service.
  • Conduct internal audits for stock, cash handling, and VM compliance.
  • Take corrective measures for audit gaps within the department.
  • Supervise, guide, and motivate Fashion Assistants to achieve departmental goals.
  • Conduct regular briefs to update on targets, sales techniques, customer service and SOPs.
  • Address team attrition through engagement, feedback sessions, and career discussions.
  • Maintain discipline, grooming standards, and attendance adherence.
  • Develop future team leaders by delegating responsibilities and mentoring.
