Job summary

Orchids The International School in PERUMBAKKAM invites a DIY Teacher specialized in Handicraft and Technical subjects to join our hands-on program. You will design and deliver project-based lessons, supervise workshops, and assess student work while maintaining a safe classroom.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Science Education or related field; engineering or art/d craft qualifications are preferred for the technical or handicraft tracks. Excellent communication and creativity are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field.
• Engineering diploma/degree preferred for Technical DIY Teacher.
• Degree/Diploma in ATD, BFA, Art & Craft, or Handicraft preferred for Handicraft DIY.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans and activity samples for students.
• Conduct engaging classes through discussions, demonstrations, direct teaching, and hands-on activities.
• Adapt activities to meet the learning needs of students with different abilities, interests, and proficiency levels.
• Assess student performance as per standards set by the central academic team.
• Organize and conduct workshops, exhibitions, events, and assessments.
• Maintain a safe, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and development.
• Continuously improve teaching skills through training programs, workshops, and self-learning.
• Attend all training sessions scheduled by the organization.
