Orchids The International School is looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our academic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered English lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, and critical-thinking skills. The teacher will create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a genuine love for the English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver well-structured English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, literature, and communication skills.
• Use innovative teaching methodologies, activities, and technology to make learning interactive and engaging.
• Assess student learning through assignments, tests, projects, and classroom activities, and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Develop students’ oral and written communication, confidence, creativity, and critical-thinking skills.
• Organize and participate in activities such as reading clubs, debates, storytelling, presentations, and other literary events.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to support interdisciplinary learning.
• Support students in preparing for examinations, competitions, presentations, and other academic activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate student progress to parents during parent-teacher meetings.
• Contribute to the overall academic and co-curricular development of students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Prior experience teaching English at the primary or secondary school level.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, presentation, classroom-management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to use modern teaching methodologies and educational technology.
• A creative, student-focused approach to teaching.
• Passion for education and the ability to inspire students to develop a love for English and literature.
