Job summary

Indalc Spirits Pvt. Ltd. in Odisha seeks a skilled Distillation Operator to operate and monitor distillation systems in our ethanol and ENA production plant.

You will ensure smooth plant operation, maintain product quality, and optimize process efficiency. Responsibilities include monitoring distillation columns, controlling temperatures, pressures and flow, sampling for purity, starting up and shutting down, troubleshooting, recording yields and energy use, and coordinating with fermentation

Qualifications

• Experience with distillation operations and ENA/ethanol production environments.
• Ability to interpret process parameters and trends.
• Familiarity with DCS/SCADA control systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control distillation columns via DCS or manual valves.
• Maintain precise temperature, pressure, and flow parameters.
• Sample and test alcohol purity to ensure ENA/Ethanol standards.
• Execute plant start-up, shut-down, and CIP procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
• Document production yields, logs, and energy consumption hourly.
• Coordinate with fermentation and effluent treatment teams for smooth flow.
• Enforce strict safety protocols regarding flammable liquid handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitorand control distillation columns via DCS or manual valves.
• Maintainprecise temperature, pressure, and flow rate parameters.
• Sampleand test alcohol purity to ensure ENA/Ethanol standards.
• Executeplant start-up, shut-down, and CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) procedures.
• Troubleshootequipment malfunctions and process deviations immediately.
• Documentproduction yields, logs, and energy consumption hourly.
• Coordinatewith fermentation and effluent treatment teams for smooth flow.
• Enforcestrict safety protocols regarding flammable liquid handling.

Qualifications

Must have

• 10TH PASS TO ANY GRADUATE (Diploma / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering preferred)
• 3+ years experience in Distillery / ENA Plant preferred
• Strong understanding of distillation process
• Ability to interpret process parameters & trends
• Basic knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems
• Good troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in rotational shifts

Qualities

• Follow all plant safety protocols
• Ensure proper handling of steam and alcohol systems
• Maintain housekeeping and operational discipline
