Job summary

Keka Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned VP – Engineering to shape the Embedded Systems and Product Engineering strategy, build high-performance teams, and drive complex programs from concept to production.

The ideal candidate will lead across Embedded Hardware, PCB Design, Silicon Validation, FPGA, System Design, and Product Engineering, partnering with customers and sales to ensure delivery excellence and strong business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 20+ years of experience in Embedded Systems and Product Engineering.
• 8–10 years in senior engineering leadership roles.
• Experience managing large engineering organizations (50+ engineers).
• Experience with global customers in Semiconductor, Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, or Industrial domains.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering vision aligned with the company's business strategy.
• Lead multiple engineering teams across Embedded Hardware, PCB Design, Silicon Validation, FPGA, System Design, and Product Engineering.
• Own complete product development lifecycle from architecture to production.
• Drive delivery of complex customer programs ensuring quality, cost, and schedule commitments.
• Build and scale high-performing engineering teams through hiring, mentoring, and capability development.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development during customer discussions, solution definition, estimations, and proposal preparation.
• Establish engineering processes, best practices, quality standards, and delivery governance.
• Review system architecture, technical designs, and engineering risks.
• Drive innovation and adoption of emerging technologies in Semiconductor, Edge AI, Automotive Electronics, and Industrial Systems.
• Manage customer relationships and act as the executive escalation point for engineering engagements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure smooth product realization.
• Drive continuous improvements in engineering productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Own engineering KPIs including delivery performance, utilization, customer satisfaction, quality metrics, and profitability.
