Job summary

Trail is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead and scale a high-performing team, shaping architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade products. You’ll mentor engineers, own roadmaps, and partner with product and leadership to balance speed and quality.

You’ll define system design, ensure scalability, and drive engineering standards, SDLC improvements, and effective execution across planning, timelines, and priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with significant leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing teams of 5–10 engineers.
• Strong backend engineering experience and deep understanding of large-scale systems.
• Strong HLD, system design, and architectural trade-off expertise.
• Strong project and execution management skills.
• Good product understanding with the ability to prioritize technical decisions.
