GlaxoSmithKline Bengaluru invites a senior leader to define and drive the digital, data and analytics strategy across WREF, building and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable data platforms and analytics solutions that enable faster, better decisions.
You will oversee governance, drive portfolio delivery, champion data literacy and ensure regulatory compliance while partnering with operations, quality, engineering and finance to realize business value.
Provide strategic leadership for digital, data and analytics capabilities across WREF, using data as a key asset to drive improved business outcomes, optimize end-to-end processes, and enable better, faster decision-making. The role is accountable for defining and executing the digital data and analytics strategy, building and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams, and partnering with teams and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable digital products, data platforms and analytical solutions.
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline with 18+ years of experience Typically 10+ years post-graduate experience in data science, analytics, digital product, or technology roles, including significant experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
Proven track record of leading large digital/data/analytics programmes and teams, with responsibility for strategy, delivery and change management.
In-depth experience with digital, data and analytics techniques, including:
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with operations, quality, engineering, finance and tech teams to deliver business value.
Strong leadership and people management skills; able to develop high-performing teams and coach others.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills at senior levels.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language and actionable insights.
Experience with governance and compliance frameworks (e.g. data validation, data privacy) where relevant.
