Job summary

Grid Dynamics, Bangalore, is seeking a Delivery Director to lead large, complex programs for enterprise clients, with a focus on Banking and Payments. The role requires hands-on technical insight, strong client engagement, and the ability to scale delivery across multiple teams and locations.

You will own governance, budgets, staffing, and improvements in delivery metrics while ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to SLAs.

Qualifications

• Must have started as software engineer and grown into Technical Program Management or Delivery Management.
• At least 3 years of delivery leadership in IT services or similar environments.
• Proven experience delivering Fixed Price and Managed Services projects.
• Experience leading large, enterprise-scale programs, cloud transformations, or cloud-native microservices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of large, complex programs including scope, budget, timeline, quality and SLA commitments.
• Lead a distributed delivery organization across teams and locations, via senior leaders.
• Govern delivery through steering committees, QBRs, escalations, and RAID management with proactive indicators.
• Manage account financials: budget, margin, forecasting, changes and contract obligations.
• Balance project delivery with run/work under SLA and maintain strong client relationships.
• Foster Agile-at-scale across teams and monitor operational metrics to drive improvements.

Delivery Director-Bangalore

Are you a delivery leader who started as a software engineer and still enjoys going deep on technology? Were looking for a Delivery Director to lead large, complex programs for enterprise clients, with a strong focus on Banking and Payments.

What you’ll own

• Delivery of large, complex programs end to end, including scope, budget, timeline, quality and SLA commitments.
• A distributed delivery organization across multiple teams and locations, working through a layer of senior leaders who report to you.
• Delivery governance: steering committees, QBRs, escalation paths and RAID management, with leading indicators that catch problems early.
• Account financials, including budget, margin and forecasting, plus change requests and contract obligations under Fixed Price and Managed Services models.
• The balance between implementation projects and run/support work under SLA.
• Senior client relationships: building trust with client executives, handling difficult negotiations, being open about bad news, and growing existing accounts.
• Agile at scale across many teams, along with operational metrics (e.g. DORA, defect leakage, utilization) that show measurable improvement.
• The team itself: hiring, developing and retaining strong performers, coaching senior leaders, and planning succession.
• Hands-on input on technology: taking part in design discussions, challenging architects with evidence, and contributing to technical topics on projects.

What you bring (must-have)

• A career that started in software engineering and grew through the technical ladder into Technical Program Management or Delivery Management.
• At least 3 years of delivery leadership in IT services companies, including recent services experience.
• A track record of managing Fixed Price, Managed Services Agile projects.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale programs, cloud transformation programs, or cloud-native microservices applications.
• Strong hands-on depth in at least one of AI/GenAI, Cloud, or Data (Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, ML), plus a Java / full-stack delivery background.
• Clear, confident communication in English with client executives and senior internal stakeholders.

What sets you apart (preferred)

• Experience leading delivery organizations of 250+ people across locations.
• Banking or Payments domain experience, such as cards, real-time payments, core banking, risk or fraud, and familiarity with regulatory constraints like PCI.
• Experience setting up or running a GCC or global delivery center.
• Delivery of distributed, high-load systems with demanding throughput and availability targets.
• Production experience with GenAI, including evaluation, guardrails, data privacy and cost control, or with FinOps, cloud security and resilience in regulated environments, or with data governance and MLOps.

Location: Bangalore, India. Work from the office as client engagements require.
