Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior DSP Software Engineer to drive embedded DSP modules on automotive radar projects, integrating software into customer programs and tuning performance on ECUs.

You will work with platform, algorithm, and application teams, debug complex issues, and ensure robust system behavior across multi-domain environments. Strong embedded C/C++ skills and ECU experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in embedded DSP/ECU software
• Strong embedded C/C++ development on ECUs
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience with AUTOSAR and/or non-AUTOSAR integration
• Knowledge of radar DSP concepts and signal chain basics

Responsibilities

• Integrate and adapt DSP software modules into customer programs
• Configure components to meet system, timing, and performance requirements
• Perform end-to-end integration on embedded targets (ECUs)
• Debug and resolve complex multi-layer issues across DSP, middleware and system
• Drive root cause analysis and closure of integration defects
• Support ECU bring-up, validation, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with platform, algorithm, and application teams
• Integrate reusable DSP software building blocks from platform into customer projects

Your Role Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and adapt DSP software modules into customer programs
• Configure components to meet system, timing, and performance requirements

• Drive root cause analysis and closure of integration defects
• Support ECU bring-up, validation, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with platform, algorithm, and application teams
• Integrate reusable DSP software building blocks from platform into customer-specific automotive radar projects

Requires strong embedded systems foundation, hands-on ECU integration experience Excellent debugging skills to ensure efficient reuse and robust system performance

Your Background

• B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech in any specialization with an experience of 5-7 year’s experience.
• Strong embedded C/C++ development experience on ECUs
• Excellent debugging & problem-solving skills (must-have)
• Strong embedded systems fundamentals (memory, interrupts, real-time behavior)
• Working knowledge of radar DSP concepts (signal chain basics, FFT, filtering, detection)
• Hands-on experience on hardware targets (not limited to simulation).
• Experience in AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR integration
• Familiarity with tools: Lauterbach, CANoe/Vector suite
• Understanding of communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, etc.)
• ECU architecture and integration concepts, Bootloader and flashing mechanisms, Vehicle diagnostics (UDS), Vehicle communication networks, Awareness of ISO 26262 & ASPICE
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving, Effective communication and cross-team collaboration, Ability to handle ambiguity and drive closure
• Ownership mindset with focus on quality
