Job summary

Jindal Aluminium Limited seeks a Dietician to explain nutrition issues, develop naturopathic meal plans, assess outcomes, and coordinate with Food Services for patient dietary support.

The role involves guiding kitchen staff, supervising diet service, and conducting demonstrations to patients on nutrition and healthy cooking, with shift work as assigned by the chief dietitian.

Qualifications

• Explain nutrition issues.
• Develop meal plans as per naturopathic concepts.
• Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change the plans as needed.
• Coordinate with Food Services team to ensure proper dietary service to the patients.
• Guide the kitchen staff during the preparations of patients meals.
• Supervise the service of the prescribed diet in the service areas.
• Work in shifts - morning & late evening as assigned by the chief dietitian in the counters to supervise the food distribution.
• Demonstrations: Demonstrations to patients about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between eating habits and healthy cooking.
• Formulation & Monitoring: Customization of therapeutic diet orders in the kitchen to meet patient requirements.
• Analytical skills: translate nutrition science into practical eating advice for patients.
• Compassion: caring and empathetic when helping patients address dietary issues.
• Listening skills: listen to patients and team members when executing diet plans.
• Organizational skills and Problem-solving & Speaking skills.
• Accountability: communicate information to superiors and perform tasks as assigned by superiors.

Role of Dieticians in diet centre

• 1. Explain nutrition issues.
• 2. Develop meal plans as per naturopathic concepts.

• 5. To guide the kitchen staff during the preparations of patients meals.
• 6. Supervise the service of the prescribed diet in the service areas.
• 7. To work in shifts -morning & late evening as assigned by the chief dietitian in the counters to supervise the food distribution.
• 8. Demonstrations: Demonstrations to patients about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between eating habits and healthy cooking. Explain complicated topics in a way that people with less technical knowledge can understand.
• 9. Important qualities: Formulation & Monitoring .Customization of therapeutic diet orders in the kitchen to meet patient requirements. Introducing different cooking techniques in the kitchen to optimize the nutritive value during cooking. Supervising the preparation of therapeutic diet.
• 10. Analytical skills: Dietitians must be updated with the latest nutrition research. They should be able to interpret scientific studies and translate nutrition science into practical eating advice .To provide patient focused, disease/condition specific nutrition education to patients when they have queries.
• 11. Compassion: Dietitians must be caring and empathetic, when helping patients address dietary issues and any related emotions.
• 12. Listening skills: Must listen carefully to understand patients concerns. They may also work with other health care workers as part of team to improve the health of a patient and need to listen to team members when executing diet plans.
• 13. Organizational skills: Because there are many aspects to the work of dietitians, they should have the ability to stay organized Problem-solving skills & Speaking skills.
• 14. Accountability: Communicate relevant information to superiors. Perform any job-related task as assigned by the superior.
