Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in India is seeking a dialysis technician to set up and operate haemodialysis machines for patients with kidney failure. You will attach dialyzers, prime circuits, label lines, and prepare bicarbonate solutions as part of routine dialysis care.

The role requires explaining the procedure to patients, connecting the machine to access sites, monitoring for malfunctions, and maintaining all log books and records as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Operate haemodialysis machines and monitor patient during treatment.
• Prepare dialysate and prime circuits as per protocol.
• Label patient dialysis lines clearly before first use.
• Maintain accurate log books and records.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
• Attach dialyzer and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use.
• Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
• Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
• Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
• Connects haemodialysis machine to patient’s access site to initiate dialysis.
• Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction.
• Maintain all the log books, forms & registers.
