Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus India Pvt. Ltd. in Pune, part of the TRATON group, invites a seasoned professional to establish and lead the Diagnostics & Cybersecurity Testing Center of Excellence.

You will develop test strategies, automation frameworks, and validation processes for UDS diagnostics, ECU flashing, secure boot, software updates, authentication, and PKI-based security mechanisms. The role requires 8–15 years of experience, BE/ME/BTech/MTech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Automotive

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of relevant experience in diagnostics and cybersecurity for automotive/ECU domains.
• Experience with UDS Diagnostics (ISO 14229), DOIP, and ISO 15765-2.
• Hands-on knowledge of PKI, Secure Boot, and software updates in vehicular systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead Diagnostics & Cybersecurity testing Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Design and execute diagnostic and cybersecurity test cases, automation frameworks, and validation strategies.
• Define test strategies, specifications, and cases for Diagnostic and Cybersecurity features.
• Lead validation of UDS Diagnostics, ECU flashing, Authentication, SDF, IVD, Secure Boot, and Software.
• Update security mechanisms based on UDS/ISO standards and TRATON CVS.
• Analyze diagnostic logs and vehicle network traces to drive root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with System, Software, Architecture, and Integration teams for quality and release readiness.
• Grow internal cybersecurity competencies through training and knowledge sharing.
• Support homologation, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 3 months.

Your Tasks –

Establish and lead the Diagnostics & Cybersecurity Testing Center of Excellence (CoE), developing comprehensive test strategies, test cases, automation frameworks, and validation processes for UDS diagnostics, ECU flashing, secure boot, software updates, authentication, and PKI-based security mechanisms. Drive root cause analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure cybersecurity compliance and release readiness, and strengthen internal competencies through training, knowledge sharing, and continuous process improvement.

To ensure that you will-

• Establish and develop Diagnostics & Cybersecurity testing Center of Excellence
• Design and execute diagnostic and cybersecurity test cases, automation frameworks, and validation strategies.
• Define test strategies, test specifications, and test cases for Diagnostic and Cybersecurity features.
• Lead and perform validation of UDS Diagnostics, ECU flashing, Authentication, SDF, IVD, Secure Boot, Software
• Update functions and PKI-based security mechanisms based on UDS, ISO 15765-2, ISO 21434 and TRATON CVS standards.
• Analyze diagnostic logs, security findings, and vehicle network traces to drive root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with System, Software, Architecture, and Integration teams to ensure product quality and release readiness
• Develop & grow internal cybersecurity competencies through training identification, coaching , and knowledge building.
• Support cybersecurity homologation, audits, release readiness, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Flexibility for international travel (e.g., up to 3 months)
• Experience: 8 to 15 years
• Qualification: BE / ME / B-Tech / M-Tech: Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related discipline.
• Domain Knowledge
• Hands on knowledge of UDS Diagnostics (ISO 14229), ISO 15765-2 (DoCAN), DOIP
• Experience with AUTOSAR Diagnostics, Embedded Systems, and ECU Architecture
• Understanding of Vehicle E/E Architecture and Vehicle Functions.
• Cybersecurity
• Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434, TARA, and Cybersecurity Requirements
• Experience with Authentication, SDF, IVD, Secure Boot, and Software Updates
• Understanding of Cryptography, PKI.
• Knowledge of Penetration Testing, Fuzz Testing,

• Experience in Test Specification Development, Test Case Design, and Test Execution
• Strong skills in Defect Analysis and Root Cause Investigation
• Working knowledge of ASPICE and Agile Development Processes
• Understanding of Requirements, Configuration, and Release Management
• Meta Model Knowledge (Test Levels and test focus distribution)
