Job summary

Allana Group in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh seeks a seasoned Engineering & Maintenance leader to drive equipment reliability, utility operations, and cost optimization across the plant. You will manage CAPEX projects, implement TPM and Lean initiatives, and ensure GMP, HACCP, ISO and EHS compliance while mentoring the engineering team.

The role requires 18–20 years in Engineering & Maintenance with substantial managerial experience, preferably in FMCG/food processing.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree required.
• 18–20 years of experience in Engineering & Maintenance with managerial experience.
• Experience in Food Processing, FMCG, Dairy or similar manufacturing preferred.

Role & responsibilities:

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the Engineering & Maintenance functions of the manufacturing plant by ensuring maximum equipment reliability, uninterrupted utility operations, statutory compliance, safe working practices, cost optimization, and successful execution of engineering projects while supporting production and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Maintenance

• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure high equipment availability and plant reliability.
• Develop and monitor maintenance schedules and shutdown plans.
• Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA for equipment failures.
• Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR through reliability initiatives.

Utility Operations

• Manage Boiler, Refrigeration, Air Compressors, HVAC, Water Systems, Electrical Distribution, DG Sets, and Utilities.
• Monitor utility consumption and improve energy efficiency.
• Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to production.

Engineering Projects

• Plan and execute CapEx and improvement projects.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, validation, and handover of new equipment.
• Manage contractors and ensure project completion within budget and schedule.

Asset Management

• Ensure proper lifecycle management of plant assets.
• Maintain complete engineering documentation, equipment history, SOPs, and maintenance records.
• Improve asset performance through condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal engineering standards.
• Support GMP, HACCP, ISO, Food Safety, and EHS requirements.
• Promote Zero Accident culture through risk assessment and safe work practices.

Cost Control

• Prepare and manage Engineering OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Control repair and maintenance costs.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and vendor performance.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop engineering staff through coaching and training.
• Establish skill matrices and succession planning.
• Drive accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify automation opportunities.
• Improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Implement TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, & Energy Conservation initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile:

Required Qualifications:

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• 18 - 20 years of experience in Engineering & Maintenance, including at least 57 years in a Managerial role.
• Experience in Food Processing, FMCG, Dairy, Meat Processing, or a similar manufacturing industry is preferred.
