Job summary

CLR Facility Services is seeking a Service Engineer specialized in DG sets to lead operations across multiple sites, including airports. You will conduct preventive maintenance, complete overhauls, and develop standard schedules and SOPs for varying DG capacities.

You will also perform DG health audits, manage OEM/AMC vendors, and carry out root cause analysis to reduce downtime. Extensive Pan-India travel and site mobilization are required.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in DG maintenance and complete overhauling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and standardize DG Set operations and maintenance across multiple sites, including airports and other technical FM locations.
• Independently handle DG preventive maintenance and complete overhauling, including associated electrical accessories.
• Develop and standardize preventive/predictive maintenance schedules, checklists and SOPs for DG sets of different capacities and makes.
• Conduct DG health audits covering engine, alternator, AMF/synchronization panels, fuel systems and emissions.
• Ensure compliance with CPCB emission, noise and statutory requirements.
• Manage fuel planning, spares planning and DG overhaul cycles to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Manage and review OEM/AMC vendors and their performance for DG maintenance and overhauling.
• Investigate DG breakdowns, conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Train site teams on DG operations, synchronization and emergency response.
• Support new-site mobilization, including DG capacity assessment, sizing, installation, load-bank testing, synchronization and commissioning.
• Conduct technical site surveys and condition assessments of existing DG assets.
• Travel extensively across India to project/client sites.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 1220 years of specialized experience in DG Set operations, maintenance and overhauling.
• BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in DG maintenance and complete overhauling.
• Strong knowledge of DG synchronization/parallel operation and AMF panels.
• Good understanding of DG engine, alternator and associated electrical systems.
• Experience in DG commissioning, load-bank testing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CPCB emission norms and applicable DG standards.
• Experience in OEM/AMC and vendor management.
• Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) capability.
• Experience in multi-site/critical-facility operations; airport, data centre, mines, logistics or marine exposure preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Service Engineer.
• Willingness to undertake extensive Pan-India travel.
