Job summary

Experis Pune is seeking an experienced DFMEA Engineer with hands-on DFMEA and AIAG-VDA knowledge for automotive powertrain projects. You will lead DFMEA activities, develop and maintain DFMEA documents, identify failure modes, and work with cross-functional teams during product development.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years DFMEA experience, powertrain exposure, RCA skills and strong documentation. A Mechanical/Automobile/Production/Mechatronics degree is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DFMEA experience and facilitation required.
• Strong knowledge of AIAG-VDA DFMEA methodology.
• Experience in automotive product development and powertrain preferred.
• Knowledge of failure modes, effects, causes, prevention/detection and risk assessment.
• RCA and problem-solving skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate DFMEA activities for automotive components and systems.
• Develop, review and maintain DFMEA documents throughout the product lifecycle.
• Identify potential failure modes, effects, causes and design-related risks.
• Perform risk analysis and recommend prevention and detection controls.
• Define and track risk mitigation actions with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure DFMEA alignment with AIAG-VDA methodology.
• Conduct DFMEA reviews with Design, Engineering, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality and other stakeholders.
• Support root cause analysis and resolution of high-risk failure modes.
• Ensure proper linkage between DFMEA, design requirements, validation plans and engineering changes.
• Participate in design reviews and product development activities.
• Identify opportunities for risk reduction and continuous improvement.
• Maintain DFMEA documentation and ensure timely closure of action items.
• Support customer/internal audits and quality requirements related to DFMEA.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DFMEA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for automotive products, preferably powertrain components/systems.
