Job summary

Faurecia Clean Mobility in Pune is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Engineering Unit. The role focuses on CATIA-based surface design, GD&T, and sheet metal work with adherence to OEM standards and Faurecia CAD methodologies.

You'll develop 3D models and drawings, ensure alignment with work instructions, maintain documentation, and coordinate with Product Design Engineer for timely delivery while following shift patterns and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in mechanical/automobile/production/EATS engineering.
• Minimum 4–8 years in CAD software CATIA and sheet metal design.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and CAD standards as per Product Design Leader.
• Develop 3D models and drawings that meet engineering specifications.
• Ensure no clashes, GD&T adherence, and proper surface design.
• Maintain weekly timesheets and deliver assignments on time.
• Use templates and macros to standardize designs.
• Interface with Product Design Engineer for queries and approvals.

Faurecia Clean Mobility is looking for a Design Engineer for its Engineering Unit at Pune.

The Main Missions Of The Role

• Follow the work instructions and work descriptions given by the product design leader
• Follow the set OEM standards and CAD methodology
• Good in surface (Generative shape design) in catia ,2D creation ,BOM creation. Tolerance stackup,good in GD&T.
• DCS and GD knowledge.
• Follow the systems and procedures of Faurecia - CAD / Design relate
• Complete the assignment within the estimated time or before the decided delivery date as given by PDL
• Communicate clear status of work to the team with the help of RFT indicator
• Ensure regular weekly timesheet punching
• To ensure the availability of information mentioned in the work order e.g., CAD data and relevant documents
• Understand the work description and contact the PDL in case of any query
• To fill up the checklist before delivery of the project & get it approved from /Product Design Engineer
• To do self-inspection and take ownership of the work done – Draft analysis, Clash analysis , part comparison & DTask closure with Checklist
• To highlight issues to / Product Design Engineer and propose improvement ideas for continuous improvement on processes and systems
• To ensure that there is no clash, no undercut no pending points, no deviation from A-surface and standard interfaces or templates
• Ensure maximum usage of templates and macros
• To adhere and respect shift schedule and timings
• To plan leaves in advance with intimation to Design and Development Team Leader and Product Design Engineer
• Respond to all training invitations and ensure 100% training attendance for all accepted trainings
• To ensure flexibility and multi-tasking to work in different work groups and projects
• To uphold & abide by code of ethics & Management
• Awarness of QMs policy & Processes
• Ensuring all work process & procedures are in line with QMS objectives & reporting any incident of deviation from QMS
• Perform engineering assignments as part of design / project team for various projects assigned, following and applying the systems and standards set by Faurecia and OEMs under the guidance of / Product Design Engineer
• Uses appropriate software, to develop 3D models and drawings that meet engineering specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma in mechanical/ automobile/ production/ EATS engineering

Experience

• Minimum 4-8 years in CAD Softwares (CATIA) and Sheet metal, with prior experience of minimum 4-8 years in CAD Softwares (CATIA ) and Sheet metal.

Skills And Competencies

• Good communication skills in English
• Knowledge in relevant engineering domain (Exhaust aftertreatment system) and automobile terminology
• Good understanding of plastic part design & tooling Knowledge as per GET training syllabus
• Good knowledge of CAD Methodology and best practices as per Training syllabus.
