Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer in India to design and manage cloud and on‑prem infrastructure using IaC, while building CI/CD pipelines and automation for reliable software delivery.

You will develop containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes, improve observability, and collaborate across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to enhance platform reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3–5 years’ experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or similar production support roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP core services, networking, storage, IAM
• Proven IaC, CI/CD, and automation experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Python, Bash
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes; solid Linux/Windows administration

Join our Group Technology and Security team responsible for building and operating secure, scalable, and reliable platforms across the organisation. As part of our team, you will be involved in automating infrastructure and delivery workflows, improving system reliability, and enabling engineering teams to ship and run services efficiently in production.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will design, provision, and manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, while building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation to enable reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery. You will develop and support containerised applications and orchestration platforms, leveraging monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting practices to optimise system performance, scalability, and availability. Additionally you will collaborate across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to drive operational excellence and continuous platform improvement through maintenance, upgrades, governance, and post-incident follow-up.

What You Offer

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), with 3-5 years’ experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or similar production support roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including core cloud services, networking, storage, and identity/access management.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automation technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Python, and Bash.
• Practical expertise in containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, supported by solid Linux and/or Windows administration skills.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, security, and release management practices, with excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
