Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited in India is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, provision, and manage cloud and on‑prem infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, and to build CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.

You will containerise apps with Docker and Kubernetes, automate with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and scripting in Python and Bash, and work with cross‑functional teams to improve system reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or similar production support roles.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC/automation stacks.

In this role, you will design, provision, and manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, while building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation to enable reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery. You will develop and support containerised applications and orchestration platforms, leveraging monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting practices to optimise system performance, scalability, and availability. Additional you will collaborate across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to drive operational excellence and continuous platform improvement through maintenance, upgrades, governance, and post-incident follow-up.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), with 3-5 years’ experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or similar production support roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including core cloud services, networking, storage, and identity/access management.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automation technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Python, and Bash.
• Practical expertise in containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, supported by solid Linux and/or Windows administration skills.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, security, and release management practices, with excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
