Job summary

ITC Infotech Bangalore invites a DevOps & Enablement Engineer to bridge the IDP platform with development teams. You will streamline onboarding, automate delivery, support Kubernetes deployments, and promote modern DevOps practices.

The role focuses on developer experience, platform usability, CI/CD, GitOps with Argo CD and Helm, and mentoring teams. Hybrid work in Bangalore (Whitefield) with 3 days WFO, immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Hands-on with Argo CD, Helm and GitOps workflows.
• Good understanding of AWS services from an application deployment perspective.

Responsibilities

• Guide developers in deploying, managing, and monitoring applications on Kubernetes.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps & Enablement Engineer to bridge the gap between our Kubernetes-based Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and software development teams. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving developer experience, enabling seamless platform adoption, and driving DevOps best practices across the organization.

This role involves working closely with application teams to streamline onboarding, automate software delivery processes, support Kubernetes-based application deployments, and promote modern DevOps methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Developer Enablement & Platform Adoption

• Act as the primary technical contact for application teams using the Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Guide developers in deploying, managing, and monitoring applications on Kubernetes.
• Create onboarding documentation, tutorials, runbooks, and best-practice guides.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions on platform capabilities, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform usability.

CI/CD & Delivery Pipeline Management

• Design, build, and maintain reusable CI/CD pipeline templates.
• Automate software delivery using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Implement GitOps deployment practices using Argo CD and Helm.
• Integrate security, compliance, code quality, and testing checks into delivery pipelines.
• Support deployment strategies including Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments.

DevOps Best Practices & Support

• Define and promote DevOps standards, branching strategies, release processes, and automation practices.
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to development teams.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes application runtime issues, ingress configurations, resource limits, and deployment failures.
• Establish feedback mechanisms with development teams and drive continuous platform improvements.
• Support production deployments and incident resolution activities.

Required Skills

Kubernetes & Application Delivery

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Expertise in application deployment, scaling, debugging, ingress management, and secrets management.
• Experience with Helm and Kubernetes troubleshooting.

CI/CD & GitOps

• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins
• Hands-on experience with: Argo CD, Helm, GitOps workflows

Cloud & Automation

• Good understanding of AWS services from an application deployment perspective.
• Experience with scripting and automation using: Python, Bash, Go (preferred)

Version Control & DevOps Practices

• Strong knowledge of Git workflows and branching strategies (GitFlow, Trunk-Based Development).
• Experience with automated testing, release management, and deployment automation.
• Exposure to security scanning, SAST/DAST, and code quality tools.

Communication & Documentation

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create high-quality technical documentation, onboarding guides, and operational runbooks.
• Experience mentoring and supporting development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
• Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Exposure to developer enablement initiatives and developer experience (DevEx) programs.
• Experience conducting technical workshops and training sessions
