DevOps Engineer

IITBase; Bengaluru; On-site; INR 800,000 - 1,600,000; Full time

Job summary

IITBase connects graduates of India's top engineering and management institutes with the companies hiring them, and we ship to production most days. We’re a small team that values fast, safe deploys from Bengaluru.

You’ll work on a Spring Boot 3 backend and a Next.js frontend, with CI, data stores, and observability integrated to keep releases reliable.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years with Linux, containers and at least one cloud or hosting platform.
• Enough Java or TypeScript to debug a failing build or a crashing service.
• A habit of verifying what is actually running rather than trusting a dashboard.
• Nice to have: PostgreSQL operations, CI cost optimisation, self-hosted runners.

Responsibilities

• Deploys for a Spring Boot 3 (Java 21) backend on Railway and a Next.js frontend on Vercel, across staging and production.
• CI on GitHub Actions, including an integration suite that runs against real PostgreSQL and Redis via Testcontainers, so a green build means something.
• Reliability: healthchecks, JVM memory tuning, safe rollouts, and making sure a deploy marked "success" is actually serving.
• Data services: PostgreSQL with Flyway migrations, Redis for caching and rate limiting, Cloudflare R2 for file storage.
• Observability: Sentry across both apps, and closing the gaps where failures go unnoticed.
