IITBase is hiring a Backend Engineer in Bengaluru to build and maintain the backend services of our marketplace. You will develop APIs for candidate profiles, applications, and recruiter pipelines using Spring Boot and Java 21.

You will work with PostgreSQL, Flyway migrations, Redis for caching and session management, and integrate Testcontainers in testing. 0–3 years of experience required; full-time based in Bengaluru.

Qualificações

• Solid understanding of data structures and system design principles that maintain simplicity even as they scale.
• Proficiency in Java or another typed language, with a strong willingness to learn Java and Spring exceptionally well.
• Attention to detail; an edge case identified during code review is preferable to one discovered by an end user.
• 0-3 years of professional experience.

About the role:

IITBase connects graduates of India's top engineering and management institutes with the companies hiring them. As a Backend Engineer, you will contribute to our backend service built with Spring Boot 3 and Java 21, which manages everything from candidate signup to the recruiter pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Develop APIs for both sides of the marketplace, including candidate profiles and applications, recruiter pipelines, search functionality, invitations, and messaging.
• Manage data using PostgreSQL with Flyway migrations and utilize Redis for caching, rate limiting, and session management.
• Ensure correctness under real usage scenarios by implementing proper authorization, reliable transactions, and accurate timekeeping relevant to India.
• Create and maintain integration tests that operate against the actual PostgreSQL and Redis environments using Testcontainers, rather than mocks.
• Facilitate fast shipping of your work to production and validate its performance in the live environment.
