Job summary

SITA Group seeks a DevOps Application Support Engineer to design, implement, maintain and support infrastructure and application services across multiple tools in line with our standards. You will act as a SME for supported applications, manage supplier relationships, and participate in full lifecycle projects to ensure solutions meet requirements, with emphasis on IT security and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience in implementation or support of DevOps deployments across multiple projects.
• Understanding of IT security and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient with DevOps tools and related development workflows.

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

As a DevOps Application Support Engineer, you will design, implement, maintain and support infrastructure/ application services in accordance with business and functional requirements using appropriate SITA standards policies and processes across multiple tools.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Support DevOps Applications in accordance with agreed standards meeting the agreed technical and functional business requirements and specifications.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the supported applications.
• Manages supplier relationships and liaises with suppliers on problem-solving and best practices.
• Participates in the full lifecycle of multiple small to medium projects ensuring the solution(s) developed can sustain the projects' functional and business requirements.
• Ensures all risks and issues that affect the project are raised following set processes and are actioned appropriately. Escalates risks and issues that pose a significant impact on deliverables.
• Ensures the integration of the requirements matches that of interacting systems applications and services both inside and outside of SITA in the wider airline community.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

• At least 5 years’ experience in implementation or support of DevOps application deployments implementing systems and modules with experience in multiple full lifecycle implementations.
• Familiar with the operational support of applications, not one particular application
• Familiarity with synchronization tools (e.g. MFConnect, Tasktop) is desirable.
• Understanding of DevOps tools is required.
• More experience with tooling that supports the development process; tools like Azure DevOps, Azure Git, SonarQube, Octane(Value Edge). Generically Issue tracking, source code management, static analysis, quality management.
• Good problem-solving skills, planning, teamwork and communication.
• Coordinate multiple technical streams of work to produce a complete solution.
• Understand the concept of IT security and its application to computer systems architecture.
• Sound knowledge of system integration, cloud infrastructure and hardware.
• Understand trade-offs and risks with technical choices.
• Master’s degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or similar- where applicable a recognised professional certification is desirable.
