Job summary

SITA Group is seeking an experienced Lead Developer to provide technical leadership across design, development, delivery and support of enterprise digital solutions in Bengaluru. You will drive end-to-end ownership, mentor teams, and align architecture with security, reliability and performance goals.

You’ll work across the stack—from user interfaces and APIs to databases and infrastructure—while promoting AI-assisted engineering and modern development practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise software development with Java/Spring Boot and/or C#/.NET.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, databases and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud technologies; Azure experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC and Keycloak.
• Experience with API gateways, messaging, monitoring and observability.
• Proven ability to support live production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong systems thinking and end-to-end ownership.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and adopt AI-assisted engineering tools.

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to provide technical leadership across the design, development, delivery and support of enterprise digital solutions.

The role requires someone who can think beyond individual applications, understand the end-to-end solution, and work across development, architecture, QA, DevOps, infrastructure and support teams.

We are looking for a Lead Developer who thinks beyond the code — someone who considers the complete journey from:

User → Application → API → Integration → Database → Infrastructure → Production → Support

and take ownership of delivering solutions that are reliable, secure, maintainable and production-ready.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to development teams.
• Design and develop scalable, secure and maintainable enterprise solutions.
• Understand and troubleshoot systems end-to-end, from application and APIs through to databases, infrastructure and production.
• Lead technical design, code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Support production incidents, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams on deployment, monitoring and operational readiness.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and performance/reliability considerations early.
• Ensure solutions provide a good overall user and customer experience.
• Communicate technical solutions and issues clear to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development, testing, troubleshooting and documentation.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

• Strong experience in enterprise software development using Java/Spring Boot and/or C#/.NET, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable applications
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, databases and distributed systems, with the ability to work across the full technology stack
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud technologies, with Microsoft Azure experience being an advantage
• Good knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC and Keycloak, including authentication, authorization and identity management
• Experience working with API gateways, messaging, monitoring, logging and observability in distributed environments
• Proven experience supporting live production systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues and identifying root causes
• Strong systems thinking and end-to-end ownership
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, mentoring and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Pragmatic approach to balancing technical quality, reliability and business needs, while taking ownership of delivering practical solutions
• Curious and proactive mindset with a willingness to continuously learn and adopt new technologies, including AI, automation and modern coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot
