Qualifications

• Experience with Page Object Model (POM) or scalable automation patterns.
• Proficient with Git and basic version control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC and STLC.
• Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Python and Selenium.
• Design scalable automation frameworks (PyTest, BDD, Robot, POM structure).
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and UI automation.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Analyze test failures, raise defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Create and maintain test documentation, test cases, and test plans.
• Perform API testing using Python (requests) or Postman (optional).
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning.
• Improve automation coverage and optimize existing scripts for better performance.
• Ensure high-quality releases by validating builds across different environments.

Role & responsibilities

Must-Have**

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

• Python programming (strong proficiency).
• Selenium WebDriver/Playwrite (UI automation).
• Test Automation framework hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of XPath, CSS selectors, waits, and web element handling.
• Experience with Page Object Model (POM) or other scalable automation patterns.
• Git or any version control system.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins / GitHub / Azure DevOps).
• Good understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problemsolving skills.

Good-to-Have(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

• BDD, Robot frameworks (Behave, Cucumber for Python).
• Experience with API automation (Python Requests, Postman).
• Knowledge of Allure / Extent Reports.
• Exposure to Docker, Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
• Basic knowledge of performance testing (Locust / JMeter).
• Knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
• Experience with Linux environment and shell scripting.
