Job summary

Pi Square Technologies in Pune, Maharashtra, India, is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join an Agile/Scrum team. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and build robust automation frameworks following POM.

You will perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, handle cross-browser testing, API testing basics, and contribute to CI/CD integrations with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Good experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Experience with TestNG and automation framework development.
• Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation components.
• Experience with functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of XPath, CSS Selectors, and Playwright locators.
• Experience handling alerts, pop-ups, frames/iFrames, browser windows/tabs, and file upload/downloads.
• Basic knowledge of API testing.
• Experience with parallel and cross-browser testing.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using best practices such as Page Object Model (POM).
• Develop and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end automation tests.
• Perform UI testing including navigation, data entry, form submission, validations, pop-ups, frames, and multiple browser windows.
• Use appropriate assertions and validations to verify application behavior.
• Perform cross-browser testing using Selenium and Playwright.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, identify root causes, and improve test scripts.
• Develop reusable test components and utilities to improve automation efficiency.
• Support parallel test execution using Selenium Grid and Playwright.
• Perform basic API testing and response validation using Playwright.
• Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Maintain test reports using Allure, Playwright reports, or similar reporting tools.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure application quality.
• Contribute to improving automation coverage, testing processes, and overall product quality.
