Job summary

Idexcel in Bengaluru is seeking a Detailed Engineering (Civil) professional with 5-8 years' experience to provide governance, technical validation, construction assurance, and EPC oversight for Wind and Solar PV projects.

You will review plant layout, foundations, earthing and lightning, GA drawings, and installation methods, coordinate with EPC contractors, and support site teams with clarifications and QA/QC inspections in line with IEC, IS, Eurocodes.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• 5-8 years of overall experience in civil engineering for renewable projects.
• Proficiency in geotechnical reviews, hydrology, topography, and code compliance (IEC/IS/Eurocodes).

Responsibilities

• Review, coordinate, and approve detailed engineering deliverables for Solar and Wind power plants submitted by EPC contractors.
• Prepare and review clash reports, GA drawings, BOQ validation, and installation methods.
• Review site studies (topography, hydro, geotech) and provide clarifications to site execution teams.
• Support QA/QC during inspections of foundations, layout verification, and compliance checks.
• Ensure compliance with ISO codes, IEC standards, Eurocodes, and global civil/structural practices.

Role Overview

• Provide engineering governance, technical validation, construction assurance, and EPC oversight support for Wind, Solar PV projects.


• Will be part of the team acting as an independent technical review and approval authority supporting project execution teams.


• Solar PV: plant layout, foundations, earthing & lightning, pooling substation and power evacuation.

Experience in Solar EPC and wind Infrastructure / Power Projects : Civil & structural systems, layouts, roads and pavements, drainage system, trenches for MV electrical cabling etc.

• Review, coordinate, and approve detailed engineering deliverables submitted by EPC contractors for Solar and Wind power plant projects, including Plant layout drawings (solar array, wind turbine layout, substations, pooling stations, main buildings), general arrangement (GA) drawings, Installation principles and construction methodology documents, as per the local applicable standards for engineering.


• Clash reports & coordination drawings, BOQ validation reports.


• Review site studies (topo, hydro, Geotech, pull out tests)


• Provide clarification to site execution teams


• Support QA/QC in inspection of foundations, Layout verification, Compliance checks.


• Ensure compliance with ISO codes & IEC standards, Eurocodes and other global standards for civil and structural engineering.


• In-depth knowledge of renewable power plant design practices, EPC workflows, and stage-gate engineering approvals


• Experience in survey drawings & topography, and Basic understanding of Excel-based BOQ analysis .
