Job summary

Mizuho Global Services, Pune, is seeking a Desktop Operations associate to design, deploy, and support the desktop infrastructure and corporate applications. You will patch, automate, and package deployments across the environment, while ensuring reliable Windows OS administration and VDI operations.

You will collaborate with the End User Support teams, serve as an escalation point, and provide after-hours support when needed. 3–5 years of mission-critical experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and support the desktop infrastructure and corporate applications.
• Patch deployments using Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
• Automate desktop environments with scripting (PowerShell or Python).
• Package applications for automated deployment (SCCM/Intune, AppVolumes).
• Administer Active Directory GPOs affecting the desktop environment.
• Support Windows OS deployment, troubleshooting, and app-level support.
• Maintain VDI platform VMware View brokers, monitor performance and availability.
• Serve as escalation point for End User Support/Service Desk on packaging/OS issues.
• Collaborate in a team to support enterprise infrastructure.
• Provide off-hours support when needed.

Duties:

The Desktop Operations associate will be responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, and support of the desktop infrastructure and administration of corporate applications.

Major Responsibilities:

• Experience creating Microsoft and Third Party patching deployments using Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
• Automating solutions and changes for the desktop environment using scripting languages like Powershell or Python.
• Package applications for automated deployment in Microsoft SCCM/Intune and VMWare AppVolumes.
• Administration of Active Directory Group policy including creating, editing, and evaluating GPOs that effect the desktop environment.
• Experience in deploying, managing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems to include application-level support.
• Maintain and support virtual desktop (VDI) platform VMware View brokers, monitor availability and performance of physical and virtual desktop systems.
• Serve as an escalation point for End User Support/Service Desk teams for application packaging and OS-related issues.
• Candidate must be able to work as part of a team in supporting an enterprise level infrastructure.
• Provide support off-hours when needed.

Bachelor's degree in Technical, engineering, computer science or equivalent experience.
