Job summary

C2C Engineering in Chennai invites a Design Engineer in Instrumentation to join our team. You will work on instrumentation standards, P&IDs, and 3D plant models, with exposure to cable tray and BOQ layouts, under guidance of senior engineers.

Candidates should have a Diploma/degree in Instrumentation or related fields and 0-2 years’ experience in chemical/pharma manufacturing or engineering consultancies; proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
• 0–2 years experience as Design Engineer in Instrumentation Department of a Chemical/Pharmaceutical manufacturing company or Engineering Consulting Company.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Instrumentation Standards, Basics
• Development of P&IDs Instrument Tagging Philosophy
• Preparation of 2D Cable Tray, JB/RIO, IAM layouts
• Preparation of Instrumentation Layouts
• Development of 3D plant models
• Extraction of Erection BOQ
• Review, analyze and understand the Process, Piping and Plant Layout requirements and the P&IDs
• Good knowledge of Piping layouts and its effect on Instrumentation
