Job summary

Dolphin Hosiery & Garments is seeking a creative Fashion Designer / Garment Designer focused on kidswear, hosiery and apparel design. You will explore trends, select fabrics, and craft innovative designs while ensuring production feasibility and quality.

Responsibilities include creating designs, mood boards, sketches, and technical specs, coordinating with sampling, merchandising and production teams to deliver market-ready collections.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Design or a related field preferred.
• Relevant knowledge or experience in garment, hosiery, knitwear or kidswear design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop or CorelDRAW.
• Good knowledge of fabrics, prints, garment construction and colour coordination.
• Understanding of current fashion trends and consumer preferences.
• Creative thinking, attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with merchandising and production departments.

• Develop seasonal collections, design concepts and mood boards.
• Prepare garment sketches, technical drawings and design specifications.

• Coordinate with sampling, merchandising and production teams.
• Select suitable fabrics, trims and accessories for new designs.
• Work on product development from initial concept to final sample approval.
• Review garment samples and recommend design improvements.
• Ensure designs are commercially viable and suitable for bulk production.
• Maintain design records, artwork files and product specifications.
