Job summary
Jobitus in India seeks a Mechanical CAD & Design engineer to conceptualize, design and execute small automation projects on the shop floor.
You will identify bottlenecks, apply automated solutions, study ergonomics and MTM methods, and leverage AI tools to deliver cost-effective improvements.
A hands-on role requiring proficiency with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and related tools.
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/Design tools and engineering drawings.
- Awareness of DFM/DOA, GD&T basics is a plus.
- Familiarity with automation processes in manufacturing is desirable.
- Exposure to AI tools and data-driven optimisation is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design and execute small automation projects on the shop floor.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement automated processes where feasible.
- Study and apply Work Place Ergonomics and time-method-work studies.
- Utilize AI tools/applications to derive practical cost‑effective deployable shopfloor solutions.

Ansys, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Structural Analysis, Stress Analysis, MATLAB, Simulink, Engineering Calculations.
Robot Operating System, Gazebo, Robot Kinematics, Motion Planning, Sensor Integration, Industrial Robotics Fundamentals, Autonomous Systems.
- Conceptualize, Design, Execute Small Process, Material Handling, Man movement automation solutions
- Identify key regular trouble areas/bottlenecks and implement automated processes wherever best feasible
- Study and execute Work Place Ergonomics based solutions (Time-Method-Work study)
- Extensive use of AI Tools & Applications to derive practical cost-effective deployable solutions in the Shopfloor environment
