Alstom in Bangalore seeks a full-time Design Manager - Power Supply to lead electrical architectures and specifications for traction projects (metro, tramway, mainline). You'll collaborate with engineering, project management, construction, and testing teams to ensure technical quality of designs and supplier equipment.

The role focuses on HV/MV/LV power systems, interface coordination with SCADA, civil works, catenary and EMC, and supporting factory acceptance tests.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical systems engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Professional experience in railway transportation.
• Strong knowledge of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical installations.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilités

• Performing design activities for HV/MV/LV power supply systems in traction projects.
• Providing calculation notes, technical specifications, and functional requirements.
• Validating supplier equipment offers and ensuring compliance with technical standards.

Job Summary

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical systems expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll be at the forefront of delivering power supply engineering solutions for traction projects such as metro, tramway, or mainline systems. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, construction, and testing teams), coordinate interfaces with various subsystems, and ensure the technical quality of designs and solutions.

Youll specifically take care of providing electrical architectures, technical specifications, and validation of supplier equipment, but also follow-up on technical drawings and support factory acceptance tests.

Responsibilities

• Performing basic and detailed engineering activities for high voltage, medium voltage, traction, and low voltage power supply systems
• Providing calculation notes, technical specifications, and functional requirements
• Validating supplier equipment offers and ensuring compliance with technical standards
• Coordinating with subsystems such as SCADA, civil works, catenary, and EMC
• Providing technical support to construction and commissioning teams
