Job summary

Alstom in Bangalore seeks a full-time Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) with extensive signalling industry expertise to lead the engineering scope of complex rail projects.

You will manage the technical contractual scope, lead the project engineering team, coordinate with cross-functional groups, oversee risk management, and drive customer acceptance of the solution, including verification and validation activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in the signalling industry, with at least five years in signalling design.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Leadership ability to manage and motivate engineering teams.
• A certification in project management or related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical contractual scope of the project.
• Functionally lead the project engineering team.
• Coordinate with Project Core Team, Project Engineering Team and Product Development Community.
• Manage project technical risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Oversee customer acceptance of the project solution and supervise Verification & Validation activities.
• Chair the Project Change Control Board (CCB).
• Support warranty period issue resolution.

You’ll work alongside innovative, driven, and supportive teammates.You'll manage the technical contractual scope of the project and functionally lead the project engineering team. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Core Team, Project Engineering Team, Product Development Community), manage project technical risks, and much more.You’ll specifically take care of the customer acceptance of the project solution, but also supervise Verification & Validation activities.We’ll look to you for:Being accountable for the project solution customization to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance commitmentsBuilding and analyzing the project requirements database in collaboration with the Project ArchitectChairing the Project Change Control Board (CCB)Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and design choicesLeading the project engineering team and ensuring the follow-up of engineering activitiesCoordinating the resolution of technical issues during the warranty period
