Job summary

Flipspaces is seeking a Manager – Design to own the end-to-end design journey for commercial interior projects. From briefing and concept to approvals, GFCs and execution support, you will balance design excellence with commercial viability and on-site realities.

You will lead space planning, client meetings, technical detailing and cross-functional coordination with Projects, Procurement and MEP teams to ensure designs are delivered on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial/workplace interior design.
• Portfolio of corporate offices and commercial interior projects.
• Strong skills in concept development, space planning and design presentations.
• Hands-on with technical drawings, detailing and GFC documentation.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, costing and vendor ecosystems.
• Understanding of BOQs, value engineering and design-to-cost.

Responsibilities

• Develop space plans, design concepts, layouts and client presentations based on project requirements.
• Own design projects from client brief and concept through approvals, GFCs and execution support.
• Lead client discussions, understand requirements and drive design sign-offs.
• Prepare and review working drawings, technical drawings, GFCs, specifications and design schedules.
• Drive material and finish selection balancing aesthetics, functionality, cost and timelines.
• Coordinate with Projects, Procurement, Estimation/QS, MEP and cross-functional teams to translate design on site.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously maintaining design quality, timelines and documentation standards.
• Support value engineering and design-to-cost decisions without compromising design intent.
• Participate in client pitches and contribute towards commercially viable design solutions.
• Mentor junior designers and strengthen design processes, templates and quality standards.
