Job summary

Believant Technologies Pvt Ltd is seeking a BIW fixture designer to design and model welding fixtures in Siemens NX, coordinating with senior designers.

You will build locating and clamping arrangements, prepare drawings and BOMs, and ensure weld gun access meets review feedback. Candidates with 1–3 years in BIW fixture design and good NX knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years hands-on BIW fixture, welding fixture or jigs & fixtures design experience.
• Good working knowledge of Siemens NX: part modelling, assemblies and drafting.
• Basic understanding of GD&T, tolerances and 3-2-1 locating principle.
• Basic understanding of welding process and sheet-metal BIW parts.
• Decent written and spoken English.
• Eagerness to learn, attention to detail and self-check before submitting work.

Responsibilities

• Design and model BIW welding fixtures in Siemens NX with senior designers.

What you will do

• Design and model BIW welding fixtures in Siemens NX (UG NX), working with our senior designers.
• Build the locating and clamping arrangement (pins, NC blocks, rest pads, clamps) according to the design concept and the part GD&T.
• Use standard clamp, cylinder and locator units from the libraries, and model simple custom units.
• Prepare 2D detail and assembly drawings and BOMs, following the customers standards and checklists.
• Check weld gun access and clearances, and update designs based on review feedback.
• Make revisions quickly and accurately after internal and customer design reviews.
• Support the manufacturing team with drawing clarifications.

What we are looking for (must have)

• 1-3 years of hands‑on experience in BIW fixture, welding fixture or jigs & fixtures design.
• Good working knowledge of Siemens NX: part modelling, assemblies and drafting.
• Basic understanding of GD&T, tolerances and the 3-2-1 locating principle.
• Basic understanding of the welding process and of sheet‑metal BIW parts.
• Decent written and spoken English.
• Eagerness to learn, attention to detail and the habit of checking your own work before submitting it.

Good to have

• Exposure to OEM design standards (GM, Ford, Stellantis, VW) or the GM NX Toolkit (KBTD).
• CATIA V5 knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatics or robotic simulation.
• An internship or training in automotive tooling design.
