Job summary

VMC Soft Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced mechanical design engineer to create 3D models and detailed drawings using Unigraphics NX for automotive powertrain components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in design reviews, and ensure designs meet project timelines and standards.

Diploma or BE in Mechanical/Automobile/Production engineering is required, with 2–8 years in powertrain design. Strong GD&T and sheet metal/plastics knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 to 8 years of experience in Automotive Powertrain domain using Unigraphics NX (UGNX) software.
• Good understanding of Engineering Drawings, Interpretation and Application of GD&T and Manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D Models and Drawings in Unigraphics NX (UGNX).
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into the broader product development process; participate in design reviews and present updates to clients.

• Develop 3D models| engineering drawings for various automotive components.
• Work with cross-functional teams| including project managers| technical specialists| and manufacturing teams| to integrate designs into the broader product development process. Participate in design reviews| providing feedback and technical expertise. Present design plans and project updates to clients and stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the design and manufacturing phases. Ensure designs comply with industry/ customers standards and procedures. Contribute to project management by ensuring designs meet project requirements and timelines.

Desirable Skills

• Strong modeling and detailing skills using Unigraphics Nx
• Good understanding of Engineering Drawings| Interpretation & Application of GD&T
• Good manufacturing process knowledge in sheetmetal/ castings/ plastics
• Experience in Interior / Exterior components design
• Experience in Chassis and BIW components design
