Job summary

Technosoft Engineering in Maharashtra, India is seeking a Design Engineer / Sr. Design Engineer with strong background in Special Purpose Machine design, material handling, sheetmetal, fabrication, and conveyors. You will conceptualize, design, and develop custom solutions with focus on manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Candidates should be proficient in GD&T, stack-up analysis, and have experience with SolidWorks, Inventor or Creo; willingness to travel for overseas assignments.

Qualifications

• Mechanical design for SPM, material handling, baggage handling, sheet metal and fabrication.
• Experience with design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.

We are looking for a skilled and innovative Design Engineer / Sr. Design Engineer with a solid background in Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design, Material Handling, Fabrication, Sheetmetal, Baggage Handling, Conveyors, Automation. The ideal candidate should be able to conceptualize, design, and develop custom-engineered solutions, considering cost-effectiveness, performance, and manufacturability.

Role & Responsibilities

• 1. Understand the requirements and work with different teams.
• 2. Create design concept and detail engineering
• 3. Design considering manufacturability, cost, performance and durability.
• 4. Conduct design review to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
• 5. Knowledge in GD&T, stack up analysis, different industrial standards like ANSI, JIS, DIN etc.
• 6. Knowledge of Manufacturing / Production / Assembly processes would be a plus.
• 7. Hands on experience in various Manufacturing Processes would be a plus.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 1. Good in engineering mechanics, strength of materials & theory of machines.
• 2. A good grasp of engineering and design principles
• 3. Core experience in Sheet Metal Design / Airport Baggage Handling Systems/ Packaging Machine Design / Special Purpose Machine / Machine Design / Material Handling Design / Fabrication / Assembly / Conveyors, etc.
• 4. Knowledge in GD&T, BOM Preparation & stack up analysis.
• 5. Good knowledge on any of the 3D modelling software ( SolidWorks/ Inventor / Creo ).
• 6. Good communication skills and team working skills.
• 7. Willing to travel overseas for short and long assignments.
