Job summary

Galaxy Services in Chennai region is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer to design and develop custom machinery, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, working with customers on project scope, prototyping, and ensuring safety/compliance. Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and programming (C++, Python) are required. Prior experience in machine design is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience in SPM machine design, development, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software and programming languages (e.g., C++, Python).
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with SolidWorks, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production requirements and define project scope.
• Design and develop custom machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Create detailed designs, prototypes, and models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• For New Projects (or) Design Related Matters-Discussing with Customers & Clarifying Doubts if Any.
• Final inspection after the complete manufacturing of project before dispatch
• Attending customers queries during their visit to our company and discussing technical aspects with suppliers.
• Develop and implement control systems, including programming and integration of sensors, actuators, and automation components.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Troubleshoot and optimize machine performance, resolving technical issues and improving efficiency.
• Document designs, test results, and technical specifications for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve design capabilities.
