Job summary

Pahwa Metaltech is seeking an experienced Die Designer to develop 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. You will work from customer drawings and file formats to create accurate dies and tooling for wax, shell, and metal casting.

The role requires careful attention to shrinkage allowances and GD&T. The candidate should hold a Diploma or B.Tech / BE and possess strong English communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. degree in any specialization.
• Strong hands-on SolidWorks skills: part modelling, assemblies, surfacing, detailed drawings, and mould/die design features.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models using SolidWorks software.
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks from customer drawings, STEP/IGES files, and physical samples.
• Design wax injection dies and related tooling, including cores, inserts, and ejection, with correct shrinkage allowances for wax, shell, and metal
• Create detailed drawings, assemblies, and parts lists for manufacturing purposes.
• Prepare casting drawings with machining allowances, datum schemes, and GD&T.
• Maintain drawing revision control, BOMs, and engineering change records

• Create detailed drawings, assemblies, and parts lists for manufacturing purposes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 1-5 years of experience in Die Design or related field (Mechanical Engineering).
• Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. degree in Any Specialization.
• Proficiency in Solid Works software with strong understanding of its features and capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong hands-on SolidWorks skills: part modelling, assemblies, surfacing, detailed drawings, and mould/die design features (draft analysis, parting lines, scaling for shrinkage, core and cavity splits).
• Clear written and spoken English for customer communication
