Job summary

Jaivel Aerospace is seeking an Investment Casting Die Designer with 3–6 years of hands-on experience in designing complex wax injection dies for aerospace components. The role requires strong expertise in SolidWorks, die design principles, parting line development, and multi-component automatic dies for complex geometries.

You will design dies, define parting lines, lifters, and ejection mechanisms, prepare drawings and BOMs, and collaborate with production, quality, and process engineering

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical required.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency (Part/Assembly/Drawing/Mold Tools).
• Knowledge of GD&T, fits and tolerances, aerospace materials and treatments.
• Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop investment casting wax injection dies for aerospace components using SolidWorks.
• Create die designs for complex geometries with high dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.
• Design multi-component dies, including box-type dies and automatic wax injection dies.
• Define and optimize parting lines, shut-offs, slides, inserts, lifters, and ejection mechanisms.
• Develop dies with multiple moving components while ensuring ease of assembly and maintenance.
• Prepare complete manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with production, machining, quality, and process engineering teams during die development and trials.
• Modify existing dies to improve productivity, quality, and cycle time.
• Troubleshoot die-related issues and implement effective design improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with aerospace quality and manufacturing standards.

What you’ll need

• 3–6 years of experience in investment casting die design.
• Qualification: BE/ME in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Drawing, and Mold Tools).
• Fluent Knowledge & Competency of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatic and automation design.
• Knowledge & Competency of GD&T, fits and tolerances, aerospace materials, manufacturing processes & treatments.
• Fluent understanding & competency of quality management systems and ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
• Fluent ability to identify risks, manage them and develop mitigating actions.
