Job summary

Quik Hire Staffing, on behalf of a global manufacturing client, is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer (FreeCAD) for a full-time project. You will develop and optimize manufacturing designs using FreeCAD for precision components, translating specifications into 3D models and drawings for production.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, maintain documentation including BOMs, and perform design reviews to identify challenges.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using FreeCAD for 3D modeling and parametric design.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of CAD data exchange between systems.

The role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing designs using FreeCAD for precision components. The position requires translating technical specifications into detailed 3D models and technical drawings for production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and model mechanical components using FreeCAD for manufacturing applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in FreeCAD for 3D modeling and parametric design.
• Experience with mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
• Familiarity with CAD file formats and data exchange between systems.
