Job summary

Cyient Limited is seeking an experienced mechanical detailing professional to prepare and update drawings for boiler pressure parts used in utility and industrial boiler applications. You will interpret drawings and ensure compliance with project specs while coordinating with multiple teams.

Must have 8+ years with an engineering diploma or 5+ years as a graduate engineer in mechanical engineering, with mandatory AutoCAD skills and desirable SolidWorks experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience with engineering diploma or 5+ years with graduate engineer in mechanical engineering.
• AutoCAD proficiency mandatory for detailing drawings.
• SolidWorks desirable; boiler pressure parts and boiler projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fabrication, assembly, erection, and component detail drawings for boiler pressure parts.
• Develop and update drawings for drums, headers, waterwall panels, superheaters, reheaters, economizers, piping interfaces, supports.
• Interpret drawings, design inputs, specs to produce production-ready detailing deliverables.
• Ensure drawings comply with customer requirements, standards, codes, fabrication practices, and project specs.
• Verify dimensions, fits, tolerances, material details, BOM, weld/interface details, and completeness.
• Coordinate with engineering, checking, fabrication, and project teams to resolve clarifications and revisions.
• Support drawing revisions, as-built updates, and release of deliverables per project schedules.

Job description

• Develop and update drawings for drums, headers, waterwall panels, superheaters, reheaters, economizers, piping interfaces, supports, and related pressure part assemblies.
• Interpret engineering drawings, design inputs, specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate production-ready detailing deliverables.
• Ensure drawings comply with customer requirements, company standards, applicable codes, fabrication practices, and project specifications.
• Verify dimensions, fits, tolerances, material details, bill of materials, weld/interface details, and drawing completeness before release.
• Coordinate with engineering, checking, fabrication, and project teams to resolve comments, technical clarifications, and drawing revisions.
• Support drawing revisions, as-built updates, and release of deliverables in line with project schedules.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering diploma with 8+ years of experience, or graduate engineer with 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory for the preparation and checking of detailing drawings.
• SolidWorks experience is desirable; experience with boiler pressure parts, fabrication drawings, and utility or industrial boiler projects is preferred.
