Job summary

IDC Engineering India is seeking an experienced CAD designer to work on head, block, and housing components using Creo. The role emphasizes creating accurate casting designs, manufacturing drawings, and leveraging PLM/Teamcenter for release processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and related machining and casting tooling processes, ensuring robust designs and documentation across PLM workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Creo modelling experience.
• Experience in heads, blocks, and housings casting design and manufacturing drawings.
• Proficient in PLM/Teamcenter release processes and change management.
• Knowledge of tolerance stack-up analyses, GD&T, surface texturing, and datum setup.

Job description

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Head & Block, including Water Jackets, Ports, Cylinder Cores, Skeleton-Driven Modelling, Top-Down Structuring, Core Split/Parting Line, and Draft creation using Creo.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the above Creo modelling activities.
• Strong knowledge of Casting Design, Modelling, and manufacturing drawing preparation for Heads, Blocks, and Housings.
• Good understanding of Foundry Processes, Casting Tooling Development, and Machining Processes related to Head, Block, and Housing components.
• Strong proficiency in Creo Family Tables, Assemblies, and Group Creation.
• Experience in Wall Thickness Validation and Casting Geometry Comparison using Creo.
• Knowledge of Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis, Limits & Fits, GD&T, Surface Texturing, and Datum Target setup.
• Working knowledge in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Teamcenter Release Processes / Change management.
