Job summary

Cyient is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3–6 years of Creo experience to design heavy equipment and automotive components. Candidates should have BE/B.Tech or DME in mechanical engineering with strong reading of drawings, surfacing, and large assembly handling. Proficiency in Windchill PDM and GD&T is a plus.

Minimum 60% marks required for relevant degrees, and the role requires good communication skills and independent work ability.

Qualifications

• B.E. or DME with relevant years of experience in heavy equipment/automotive design.
• Creo hands-on design experience with parts, surfacing and large assemblies.
• Knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5 is desirable.

Job description

Qualification & Experience:

• B.Tech (Mechanical) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) with minimum 60% aggregate
• BE: 3–5 years / DME: 4–6 years in Heavy Equipment / Automotive / Agricultural Equipment Design

Technical Skills:

• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Creo
• Expertise in:
  • Advanced Part Modeling & Surfacing
  • Large Assembly Management
  • 3D Modeling & Detailing
  • Production & Machining Drawing Creation

Strong Knowledge In:

• Casting component design & development using Creo Surfacing
• Casting processes (Sand Casting, HPDC, LPDC)
• GD&T as per ASME Y14.5
• Windchill PDM (Workspace creation, Check‑in & Check‑out)

Key Competencies:

• Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Capable of independent execution with minimal supervision
• Good communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills
