Job summary

IDC Engineering India seeks a Senior Design Engineer in Chennai to lead hydraulics, castings, and sheet metal design using Creo. The role requires 4–9 years of experience and solid proficiency in large assemblies and DFMEA, NPI, and material selection.

You will read complex drawings, develop hydraulic schematics, and contribute to engine component design with a strong emphasis on Creo and Simulate, ensuring manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in fluid lines, piping and hydraulics system design.
• Able to read hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with DFMEA, NPI and material selection.
• Experience with engine components and castings (5C preferred).
• Proficiency with Creo for surface/large assemblies and sheet metal.
• Familiarity with reading complex drawings.

Designation: Senior Design Engineer

Software Skills: Creo

Years of experience: 4 to 9 Years

Notice Period: Immediate joiners are preferred

Hydraulics Design:

• Proficiency in fluid lines/pro piping
• Good understanding of hydraulics system design
• Good understanding of component selection
• Must be able to read hydraulic schematic.

Castings Engine Domain:

• Proficiency in Creo, Surface Modeling, Advanced Modeling & Large Assemblies
• Experience in DFMEA, NPI, Selection of Material, Design Calculations
• Experience in Engine (Preferably 5C components)
• Foundry Background (Preferred)
• Creo Simulate or other analysis experience.
• Must be able to read Complex drawings.

Sheet metal Design:

• Proficiency in Creo, Sheet metal, Light and Heavy Structures & Large Assemblies
• Experience in GD & T, DFMEA, NPI, Welding process/Design, Selection of Material & Design Calculations
• Experience in Light and Heavy Structures Design
• Experience in Light and Heavy Fabrication
• Knowledge in Structures Manufacturing Processes
• Creo Simulate or other analysis experience.
• Must be able to read Complex drawings.
