Role & responsibilities

• We have a requirement of a Design Engineer, having 3-4 years of experience in sheet metal canopies, shelters, proficient in 3D modelling design using Solid Works.
• Design Engineer should be able to creates precise 3D models, assemblies, and detailed technical manufacturing drawings.
• Responsibilities include managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), conducting fitment/feasibility analyses, and optimizing mechanical components for production. Design Engineer will work with cross-functional teams like manufacturing, QA, and procurement to refine designs

Core Responsibilities:

• 3D Modeling& Drafting: Build accurate 3D parts and sub-assemblies, and convert them into detailed 2D manufacturing drawings
• Design Optimization: Modify and improve existing designs to reduce manufacturing costs and enhance product performance.
• Standards Compliance: Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ensure designs align with engineering and industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with customers, production and QA teams to ensure manufacturability and process engineering requirements and should follow Engineering Release and Engineering Change Order process.
• Prototyping & Testing: Support prototype development, fitment checks, and design validation activities.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Software: High proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modelling (parts, assemblies, and surfacing).
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, or sheet metal). Applicable tolerance for the respective process.
• Documentation: Experience in generating accurate BOMs and version-controlled engineering documentation.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Certification in SolidWorks.
