Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and prepare detailed assembly and part drawings using SolidWorks.
• Coordinate with production, R&D, customer service and marketing for changes in drawings.
• Prepare BOMs as per production needs.
• Develop and test prototypes based on approved designs.
• Document design specifications, drawings, and changes; ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
• Identify improvement opportunities in existing projects.
• Collaborate with Production for metal fabrication (laser cutting, CNC bending, CNC lathe).
• Consult with fabrication teams and provide design support during manufacturing.

Mechanical Design Engineer – SolidWorks & Medical Devices

Job Location: Vasai East, Mumbai
Joining: Immediately

Application Process: Interested candidates must be available for a physical interview at Vasai, for a practical assessment of their SolidWorks and mechanical design skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineeringfield.
• Experience: 1–5 years of hands‑on experience in 3D mechanical design and modelling using SolidWorks. Experience in medical device design or manufacturing will be an advantage
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and preparation of detailed part and assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and 2D engineering drawing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, limits, fits, tolerances, and welding symbols.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience or understanding of CNC machining and metal fabrication processes, including Laser cutting, CNC metal bending, and CNC lathe operations, will be an advantage.

Role and Responsibility:

• Developing 3D model and preparing detailed assembly and part drawings, Technical and Production Drawing using SolidWorks.
• Coordinate with production, Research and Development team, Customer Service and marketing team for any changes in drawing.
• Preparing Bill of Material (BOM) as per production purpose
• Develop and execute prototypes based on approved design specifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, drawings, and change orders. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
• Investigate opportunities for improvement in existing projects or products
• Work with Production team to execute designs for Metal Fabrication Laser Cutting Machine, CNC Bending Machine and CNC Lathe machine
• Consult with fabrication teams during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications and providing physical assistance when required
