Job summary

Madhav Stelco is seeking an engineer to design foundations, towers, and equipment supports, and to develop manufacturing inputs for new products. The role involves AutoCAD/SolidWorks design, foundation layouts, and coordination with fabrication, galvanizing, and dispatch teams to meet project timelines.

You will create bar bending schedules for diverse soil types, prepare MIS for project tracking, and participate in costings and feasibility studies to capture business opportunities.

• Review of design inputs and preparation of technical abstracts for projects and tenders.
• Coordinating with fabrication, galvanizing and dispatch teams to ensure schedules are met.

Responsibilities

• Review of design inputs and preparation of Technical abstract for Project & Tender in line with the Technical specifications & Design standards.
• Design of Foundation & preparation of Bar bending Schedule for Tower & Equipment support for various soil types.
• Designing mechanical equipment & OHE parts using AutoCAD, Solid Works
• Providing design for manufacturing input at early stages for new product development, coordinating with the NPD team
• Creating design of TLT shop floor and proto assembly
• Preparing MIS for project tracking and timely completion
• Collaborating with production to review inventory levels and optimize material usage
• Executing layout design and solving drawing queries; preparing material indent to reduce scrap
• Meeting with fabrication, galvanizing, dispatch for timely project completion; conducting feasibility studies and costings
• Any other duties as assigned

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Review of design inputs and preparation of Technical abstract for Project & Tender in line with the Technical specifications & Design standards.
• Design of Foundation & preparation of Bar bending Schedule for Tower & Equipment support consisting of Pad & Chimney or Raft Type for various soil types along with rock anchors for hard rock.
• Designing mechanical equipment & OHE parts using AutoCAD, Solid Works
• Providing design for manufacturing input at early stages in the new product development process, coordinating with and supporting the new product development team to implement new and revised designs
• Creating design of TLT (Transmission Line Tower) shop floor and proto assembly of the same
• Preparing MIS (Management Information Systems) discusses with team for completion of job within time frame
• Collaborating with receiving and production personnel to review inventory levels and determining shifts in production areas that would limit materials and supplies held on hand
• Executing layout designing, other solves drawing related queries; preparation of Material Indent (with combination of different lengths) for reducing the scrap)
• Meeting with fabrication, Galvanizing, Dispatch for completion of Project within schedule period; performing component feasibility study and costings, project viability study to capture of business opportunity, project management till establishment production
