Job summary

Shavish Group in Pune seeks a senior design and engineering lead to oversee overall technical direction and architecture of projects from post-order stage to commissioning, ensuring robust design releases and compliance with budget.

You will manage a team of 3–5 design engineers, coordinate with electrical and other functions, drive process improvements, and deliver timely designs, manuals, and documentation while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Detail engineering which includes, DAP, detail drawing release, factory trial, and the commissioning at site.
• Implement a customer focused operational culture by timely delivery and by delivering the quality design.
• Create and implement best practice design strategy, processes, and procedures to aid and improve department performance.
• Lead engineering efforts of design, drawing creation, BOM development, test plan creation, commissioning, and safety reviews.
• Guidetheteammemberstominimizethedesignerrors/mistakes.
• Produce detailed application architecture and technical design documents.
• Create and review design and architecture specifications, and interface specifications.
• Coordinate initiatives with other functional managers to improve the process and reduce the product cost.
• Ensure timely Design review, FMEA are during the design process.
• Ensure that the designers are following the engineering SOP in every projects.
• Take timely decision.
• Ensure all the RFQ points agreed during the proposal, DAP is taken care during the design.
• Ensure to submit equipment manual to customer on time.
• Ensure your team keeps all the drawing and other documents for the future reference.
• Ensure your team store the soft copy in desired location.
• Timely discussion with electrical design to ensure system logic, electrical elements mountings are considered during design release.
• Ensurethedesignreleaseisasperbudgetedcost.
• Supportthesiteteamforwithdesigninputsandresolvesiteissuesin time.
• Customercomplaintreply&resolutionintime.

Additional Responsibility

• Assessing training needs of employees in coordination with the HOD.
• Co-ordination, scheduling, and reporting of activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
